She was a member of the German Bundestag from 1994 to 2005. As a proven energy politician, she was an important architect of the 'Act to Promote Renewable Forms of Energy', which turned Germany into a leader in the promotion and realisation of regenerative forms of energy. Her further major concerns in parliament: environmental and economic policies as well as globalisation.
She was one of the co-founders of 'CPC Berlin - Policy Consultancy and Coaching' institute in 2005 and works as a consultant, moderator, trainer and coach in the areas of politics, NGOs and industry.
